Voyager: the end of the journey!

Fabio Pesce

There are musical instruments that mingle with their creators, in which the history and energy of their creators flow.

Antonio Stradivari with his violins, Les Paul guitars of Lester William Polfuss and the Fender's Clarence Leonidas Fender, The family Steinway & Sons pianos Steinweg, the Theremin's Lev Termen ... among these there are undoubtedly also the synths of Bob Moog that have revolutionized the music scene for over half a century.
However, there is one that can boast of having Robert's DNA in every circuit, the Minimoog Voyager, the last one built and designed from the first to the last valve by Dr. Moog, the culmination of a brilliant career. A vision that went far beyond its own era.

Since 2002, during the 13 years of production of the 14000 baked instruments, the Minimoog has become an icon of the analog music world. High quality mechanics, excellent analog sounds that opened connections with the digital world… a new rebirth.
Stevie Wonder, Dr. Dre, Radiohead, Herbie Hancock, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Daft Punk, Bjork… all traveling with Voyager!

Like any self-respecting story, this one also has its own end, romantic, melancholy. Moog Music inc. announced the end of production of the Minimoog, it's the end of the journey!

The latest specimens, 600, versions Blue e Performer, are being completed in the Asheville factory. The rest will be history!
