November 2013, Moog releases an expansion pack for Animoog able to create interesting combinations between past and present sounds. This is the Minimoog Model D Expansion Pack: sounds and timbres of the Minimoog Model D that can be modulated through the anisotropic sound synthesis of Animoog.
Minimoog Model D Expansion pack is an add-on pack (can be purchased directly through the app store for €5,99) which contains 69 stamps extracted from Minimoog Model D, and 213 presets specially designed forASE (Anisotropic Ssynthesis Engine) the heart of the sound synthesis of animoog.
Taking up the words of Cyril Lance, chief engineer of Moog Music “What makes the Anisotropic Synthesis Engine unique is that it treats timbres as ever-changing oscillators rather than samples. Taking the sounds of a Minimoog and inserting them into Animoog creates very special, modern and revitalizing sounds. This is not the emulation of a Minimoog. It's a new way to experience it. "
Through the Minimoog Model D Expansion Pack, we can therefore relive the sounds of a milestone such as Model D, and take advantage of the Animoog sound synthesis anisotropy to create original evolutions with our touch screen devices.
The 213 presets were created by sound designers and musicians such as Kevin Lamb, Drew Neumann, Adam Holzman, Dom Kane , and Sascha Dikiciyan. The expansion pack contains:
- 69 timbres
- 38 presets made by Dom Kane
- 41 presets made by Sascha Dikiciyan
- 50 presets made by Kevin Lamb
- 41 presets made by Drew Neumann
- 43 presets made by Adam Holzman
