In detail, it is the ideal tool to develop inspiration and creativity: two polysynth Novation and a four-part drum machine, integrated into a highly intuitive grid-based sequencer, all in a single standalone box with battery power and speakers included.
It will be enough to press the pads and the modulation of the potentiometers to start creating tracks always in time and in tune thanks to the special function that adjusts the metronome and pitch. The unit features the 2-part synthesizer and 4-part drum machine with a 4 × 8 RGB velocity-sensitive grid sequencer. The line outputs, as well as the USB and MIDI ports, allow maximum integration with the outside, without prejudice to the absolutely autonomous and independent character of Circuit thanks to its battery power supply and integrated speakers. Once the tracks have been created with Circuit, it will always be possible to save and playback them independently without the need for a computer. The synthesis engine is what Nova series synthesizers have been based on for years, with high-impact monophonic and polyphonic patches perfect for creating basslines, leads and pads.
You can create music in a simple and innovative way: the Circuit grid shows the steps and the notes at the same time, so you can play the sequences by seeing exactly what is happening. Tracks can be created by programming each single step or capturing the performance in real time, all with the utmost intuitiveness, allowing you to experiment and create immediately. The velocity-sensitive RGB pads, already implemented in all the latest generation Novation control surfaces, allow you to create powerful and effective drum beats, with or without the use of the step sequencer. Everything can then be processed with total control over pitch, decay, distortion and EQ. With the 8 potentiometers it is then possible to further sculpt the sound, being able to redefine in detail or completely transform every single patch. Up to 128 steps of synths and drum patterns can be combined, and then additional effects can be added: for example, synths can be sidechained with the kick drum to obtain even more powerful and effective sounds. Once this type of combination has been created, 32 slots are available to save the result.
