News by Softube: two new Marshall virtual amplifiers arrive. Guitarists (and not only) will certainly be intrigued by these two novelties.
The Swedish company has collaborated with Marshall for years, as far as the software is concerned, and now officially launches two virtual amplifiers in native format, inspired by two models in particular.
Marshall Plexi Super Lead 1959: back to the 60s
This model is inspired by a 1967 classic (defined by the museum) paired with a 4x 12 "cabinet (1960BHW) used by the historic sound engineer of AC / DC, Tony Platt.

If you are a lover of the classic “old school rock n'roll” sound, this product is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
Marshall 2203KK, aka “The Beast”: Kerry King's signature amplifier.
Lovers of metal, of "thrash" in particular, will appreciate the idea behind the creation of this plugin, that is, to replicate the sound of Kerry king (historical guitarist of Slayer) both in live and studio situations.

The header consists of 4 KT88 valves, while the cabinet (Marshall) is a 4x 12 ”consisting of Celestion G12-100K 12” speakers.
"Few but good"?
Softube it does not have many virtual amplifiers in its catalog, even if I must say that these defend themselves very well, compared to the main competitors.
Such a market today is quite saturated: over the years competition has increased, technology has developed more and more, programmers have become better and better, and people are less and less reluctant (guitarists and bassists) when it comes to to use software of this type, although I must say that, although we are in 2020, there is still some reluctance towards plugins, in general.
Will Softube succeed with these new products to establish itself on the virtual amplifier market?
We will find out soon ...
