Arturia reinforces the army of minis: MiniLab3, MiniFuse 4, MiniFreak

Arturia continues to think in… small! with its series of new Mini products just presented !! The following become part of the mini collection:

  • MiniLab3, the third version of the infamous 25-key mini master keyboard with faders, pads and rotary encoders;
  • MiniFuse4, compact but complete sound card for on stage recording / playback;
  • MiniFreak, this time "increased" version of the beloved digital hybrid micro synthesizer with analog filters

All three novelties seem to follow the same basic philosophy, that is high-profile tools dedicated to audio professionals who work on the move but without being able to afford to be able to give up reliability, robustness, precision and experimentation.

Arturia always manages to skillfully combine the goals of excellence achieved in a specific technology with the innovations required by increasingly demanding performers and by an increasingly attentive market; and then the fantastic touch experienced on the Keystep is enriched with new control possibilities in the MiniLab4 and at the same time becomes the connecting point between the most classic musician and the synthesis engine of the MicroFreak. In turn, the highly acclaimed Freak synthesis engine becomes a plugin that can be perfectly exploited through the MiniFuse4 converters in totally “in the box” contexts.

Let's see in more detail the products presented:

MiniFreak

It's an polyphonic hybrid synthesizer which combines two digital sound engines with analog filters, fun modulation, intuitive sequencing, stereo effects and a slim keyboard to 37 note for a powerful and dynamic instrument capable of offering infinite points of connection between different sound universes.

Arturia MicroFreak

MiniFreak's two digital audio engines feature over 20 modes and can be used individually, in layers or to process each other's output for completely experimental sonic behavior. Its 6 digital voices express themselves in sweet contrast to the polyphonic analog filters, balancing digital clarity with analog richness.

MiniFreak's extended modulation matrix gives users even greater control over the shaping, transformation and evolution of their sound, with features such as polyphonic ADSR envelopes, customizable multi-segment LFO shapes, FM and ring modulation, and the familiar randomization Spice & Dice.

Stereo outputs e 3 FX slots with 10 FX types to choose from, for a mix-ready sound: from stereo-enhancing chorus to gritty distortion 3-band surgical equalizer. Despite its penchant for wild and exploratory sound design, MiniFreak with this 37-note velocity- and aftertouch-sensitive keyboard becomes a performing dream for even the most classic musicians.

Arturia MicroFreak
