Music has the power to break down barriers, unite cultures and inspire profound change. With this belief, artist and activist Valeria Altobelli created WOMEN AID, an ambitious musical and cultural project that aims to promote female empowerment and gender equality through art.
In the heart of ancient Paestum, a UNESCO heritage site, a concert event will be held that promises to be a turning point in the international artistic panorama.
Uniting Continents Through Notes: The Muses
At the heart of this extraordinary project is the formation of an international group, The Muses, composed of nine world-famous musicians from the six emerged continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Americas e Middle East. These artists, representing the Nine Muses of classical art, will bring to the stage an explosion of talent and cultural diversity. Led by Valeria Altobelli in the role of Mnemosyne, Mother of the Muses, the group promises to enchant the audience with a performance that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries.

Many of these musicians boast collaborations with music legends such as Hans Zimmer and Diana Warren, and have been carefully selected by Altobelli for their ability to inspire and influence the global music scene. Their presence on the Paestum stage will not only highlight female artistic excellence, but will also serve to promote Italy as the epicenter of an international cultural renaissance.
The Documentary Film: Giving Voice to the Challenges and Hopes of Women in Art
In addition to the concert, WOMEN AID will also produce a documentary film that will tell not only about the performances on stage, but also about the personal stories, emotions and challenges faced by female musicians in the art world. The documentary will feature prominent female figures, including Academy Award winners such as Diane Warren, Grammy Award-winning artists and teachers from the prestigious Juilliard School in New York.

A revolutionary aspect of the project is the decision to involve exclusively women behind the scenes too: directors, camera operators, editors and technicians, thus creating a all-female team. This choice underlines Altobelli's commitment to promoting gender equality not only on stage but in all aspects of artistic production. The docu-film will thus become a powerful testimony of the difficulties and achievements of women in the world of art, offering a message of hope and determination to future generations.
Mission Onlus NGO: Art as a Tool for Social Change
Valeria Altobelli is not new to social commitment. As president and founder of Mission Onlus NGO, anonprofit organization which involves approximately 150 nations, is dedicated to the eradication of all forms of violence through cultural and artistic development. With WOMEN AID, Altobelli continues this mission, using music as a vehicle to raise awareness on the issue of gender inequality and promote a new humanism based on values of equality and respect.

The locations chosen for the event, theArchaeological Area of Paestum and NEXT Tobacco Factory, are not accidental. Paestum, with its ancient temples, represents a bridge between past and present, a place where history intertwines with the future. The NEXT tobacco factory, a symbol of industrial archaeology where once only women worked, embodies the spirit of resilience and female strength that the project intends to celebrate.
A Call to Action Through Art
WOMEN AID is more than just a musical event; it is a movement that aims to catalyze social change through art. Thanks to the vision of Valeria Altobelli and the commitment of extraordinary artists from all over the world, the project aims to shine a spotlight on gender issues and inspire concrete actions towards equality.

In an era where global challenges require collective solutions, initiatives like WOMEN AID demonstrate how music and art can be powerful tools for unity and transformation. The Paestum event will not only be an unforgettable concert, but a strong and clear message: when women unite their voices, the whole world listens.
