After Apollo Twin , Arrow , a new entry level arrives, the Apollo Solo, in two versions, either USB, also dedicated to Windows users, both in Thunderbolt 3, both with I\O 2 × 4 24bit 192khz.
As we can already learn from the name, we are talking about an interface derived from the top of the Apollo range, equipped with a single processor UAD-2 Core SOLO, which allows you to record and monitor through the entire UAD plugin library with near zero latency. As anticipated, the interface is equipped with 2 preamps equipped with technology UNISON e 4 exit.
Furthermore, like all UAD interfaces, it is compatible both with all DAWs on the market and with the new proprietary DAW, LUNA, developed for MacOsx, which allows you to record and set audio routing quickly through the DSP UAD plugins, taking advantage of the new technology ARM Accelerated Realtime Mmonitoring.
Accelerated Realtime Monitoring is a great opportunity for anyone who is not used to working on expensive DSP recording systems; music production will immediately seem more robust, reliable and intuitive, with no latency or problems during monitoring.
Both versions of Apollo Solo can be safely powered by Bus, without having to resort to an external power supply, so as to make them even more practical and portable.
As with any purchase of UAD interfaces will be provided for free the bundle Realtime Analog Classic, which includes a selection of plugins from UAD's Legacy series.
Among all the plugins that are given in this period on the card, we recommend to try UA 610-B Tube Preamp & EQ. Ideal for making our audio tracks and above all the VSTi more alive, their timbres are always too static to an attentive ear.
