NAMM 2020 preview - Arturia KeyLab Essential 88

The novelties of the Arturia house at NAMM 2020 are not finished yet !! Keylab Essential 88 seems to want to propose itself as a definitive solution for the keyboard player who prefers the use of virtual instruments both in the studio and live.

Classy design, elegance in a white dress and wood-colored side panels, it sports its 88 keys "with hybrid synth-piano feel" which should translate into "semi-weighted", an ideal compromise for any type of use and with a great weight advantage (at least hopefully since the technical specifications have not yet been published).

Compatible DAW transport section MCU/HUI including a "clickable" alpha dial with Jog Weel function - 9 encoders, 9 30mm faders, 8 pads with RGB lighting sensitive to dynamics and aftertouch, USB and MIDI connectivity, backlit display that facilitates programming and navigation three the presets.

Analog Lab

Highly respected software equipment, with Analog Lab (6500 ready sounds taken from the best Arturia emulations), Ableton Live 10 Lite e UVI Model D (sophisticated sample emulation of a Steinway classic acoustic piano). In short, just enough to start producing or appearing on stage immediately without the need for anything other than a mac or a pc.

Pasquale Tarricone, born in Naples in 1971, studied classical piano for several years and earned a diploma in solfeggio from the San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples. Having acquired the necessary knowledge of music theory and sufficient piano technique, he devoted himself entirely to the study of all types of electronic instruments: synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, MIDI sequencers, before entering the world of digital audio recording. With a degree in computer science, he became an expert in operating systems and music software. He has played with numerous electronic-influenced rock cover bands, collaborated on songs for several emerging pop bands, and created several ambient jingles for advertising. For several years, he was an integral member of Not Ordinary Dead, an electronic-punk group that has released three albums and performed numerous concerts throughout Italy. He is currently the keyboardist for the Madonna tribute band "Into The Groove," with which he performs at clubs and events throughout Campania, and works as a sound engineer for various cover bands on the regional live scene.
