British Modal Electronics makes its debut at NAMM 2015 with a super-synth: 002.
002 is a synthesizer analog / digital completely designed, developed and manufactured in the UK by Modal Electronics of Bristol. This is an uncompromising synth that offers twelve voices of polyphony and is multi-timbral. Keyboard with 61 semi-weighted keys and an excellent control panel, which allows a superior user experience, thanks also to the 4: 3 touch display. 002 is analog / digital hybrid: oscillators are gods NCO (nhumerically cunrolled oscillators), do you remember the DCOs of the mid 80s? 50 waveforms complete the tonal arsenal, while a 4-pole 24dB per octave filter with morphing capability allows you to “sculpt” the sound. In terms of tone, 002 recalls the PPG 2.2, which is not bad at all ...
Modal Electronics has plans to market various products in 2015 and, given the premises with the flagship 002, we are definitely curious. 002 is available for purchase at € 3.795,00 EUR (plus VAT) For information, the email is: info@modalelectronics.com For more in-depth information on 002, visit the Modal Electronics website: www.modalelectronics.com
Until next time and good music! Alessandro Pescetelli
