Novation presents Launchkey, a new line of tools with full hardware & software integration. Based on a series of 25, 49 and 61 key keyboard controllers with 16 multicolored velocity-sensitive pads.
Launchkey integrates the app for iPad Launchkey (virtual analog synthesizer) and the brand new Launchpad app that allows you to play i loop with drag-and-drop immediate from the pads and variation of the effects in real time. The new Novation line also includes a software suite for Mac e PC which includes, Bass Station, the Loopmasters sample pack and Ableton Live Lite. Launchkey is a 'full featured' control surface for DAWs with more than 50 hardware controls (34 in the 25-key version). It is much more than a simple USB keyboard controller, it is a powerful tool with total hardware and software integration and the maximum number of controls available for a device of this type. In addition to these features, Launchkey naturally provides normal MIDI control, becoming the ideal device to be combined with a digital audio workstation, with instant control of volumes, panning, track send and other parameters that can be set through the new Novation InControl software integration system. . The 16 two-color backlit launch pads are velocity-sensitive and can be used to play rhythm patterns, trigger loops and much more.
Three Launchkey models are available with keyboards of 25, 49 and 61 “synth-style” velocity-sensitive keys. All include 16 launch pads, two Launchpad control buttons, and eight rotary controls. Also included is a 3-digit LED display, transport controls, pitch and mod wheels, sustain pedal input, transpose buttons and more. The 25-key model features a single assignable fader while the 49- and 61-key models have 9 faders, with a backlit 'mode' button and eight mute / solo buttons. Launchkey is seamlessly integrated with top-notch software. The Launchkey synth for iPad (compatible with iPad 2 or higher) uses the Novation synthesis engine and a new, extremely intuitive touchscreen interface. You can control multiple synth parameters simultaneously to create unique effects, while the keyboard pots are directly linked to the synthesizer controls. The Launchpad app for iPad uses buttons to trigger loops and includes a wide range of effects.
