You forgot Time Machine backup, typical. How to do?
Unfortunately, it is not a painless operation, I warn you. You have to format.
First commandment: copy the files you need for the return journey, documents, images, music, everything!

How to get back to Yosemite from El capitan: Here's how
First we download theOS X Yosemite 10.10 da Mac App Store in the section Purchasing .
Once downloaded, close the installation program. Call the downloaded file InstallOSXYosemite.app
Put it in apps if it's not already there.
Attention the USB stick will be deleted. You need a pen of at least 8gb.
- Connect the USB drive open Disk Utility (you can find it in Applications or through the search).
- Select the USB drive from the sidebar on the left and click on the tab Initialize.
- Choosing Mac OS Extended (Journaled) in the Format box and set the name to YosemiteInstaller
- Now click on the Initialize button and wait for the formatting process to complete.
- Then choose tab Partition and select 1 partition from the Partition Layout drop-down menu.
- click options and choose GUID Partition Table with the name set to YosemiteInstaller.
- Launch the Terminal (in Applications / Utilities or via search type terminal) and copy-paste the following command and then press enter:
sudo /Applications/InstallOSXYosemite.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia –volume / Volumes / YosemiteInstaller –applicationpath /Applications/InstallOSXYosemite.app –nointeraction
This will create the bootable USB flash with the Yosemite installation files. CV10-20 minutes. It takes 10-20 minutes. Resist the temptation to eject the flash drive during the process or to close the Terminal. Once completed, the message “copy completed” is displayed.
Now let's install Yosemite
ATTENTION at this point the system will be cleaned. As already mentioned COPY THE FILES. The programs will need to be reinstalled, make sure you have the installations.
- Make sure theUSB flash drive just created is connected to the Mac Than we restart your computer while holding hold down the Option key (Alt) immediately after the initial initial sound.
- You will be asked which disk to start from. Choose the USB drive on the boot drive selection screen and press Enter.
- Wait until the Yosemite installer appears on the screen. This may take a few minutes.
- click Disk Utility
- click Macintosh HD from the left pane and then the tab Initialize at the top right of the window. Leave all the settings at their default values and then click the button Initialize bottom right. This will delete all files stored on the boot hard drive (REPEAT: COPY YOURSELF FIRST!)
- When the erasing process is complete, return to the first screen where Disk Utility was selected. Now click on Install OS X and then Continue.
- Choose the Macintosh HD partition deleted in the step above and then click Install.
Eventually you will have a complete and clean Yosemite system.
Copy the files back to us and reinstall the programs.
If, on the other hand, by hypothesis you had made a backup copy with the Time Machine, you can restore that.
