Novation introduces Launchpad Pro, a vastly improved new version of its award-winning and widely popular controller for Ableton Live.
Launchpad Pro allows you to create dynamic and expressive sessions in Live and any other music software, using a grid 8 × 8 di RGB pad velocity sensitive for to trigger and combine clips, create dynamic beats, make melodic lines and control external hardware devices.
Launchpad Pro is an evolution of Launchpad S and is perfect for launching clips but not only. Novation has further refined its control surface to make Ableton Live management even easier with four operating modes:
• Session Mode: for triggherite and combine clips
• Note Mode: For creating dynamic beats and playing the grid like an instrument
• Device Mode: to apply effects to the performance.
• User Mode: to create custom performances and layouts
The tool has been entirely designed to keep all focus on performance. It allows you to apply effects in a simple and immediate way, by adjusting the mixer controls with the push of a button. Of course, to maximize your creative possibilities, you can build virtually anything you can imagine with Max for Live using the Launchpad Pro to control it.
Launchpad Pro is the ultimate tool for Ableton Live: 64 RGB pads for launching clips, playing rhythm tracks and controlling your mixer, while simultaneously creating a light show. Along with velocity-sensitive pads, the other key innovation of the Pro version is the fact that it has RGB pads that allow you to have the colors corresponding to the clips in Ableton Live, to focus exclusively on creativity and combine loops and ideas together.
Launchpad's ability to be played as an instrument is even more extended and optimized with the Pro version: you can easily play notes, scales and chords on the grid because Launchpad Pro lights up its pads with melodic layouts. Each time a pad is pressed there will be corresponding feedback from the RGB LED and, in Standalone mode, the grid can be used to play any external software or hardware, from Cubase / Logic or via MIDI to a hardware synth such as Bass Station II.
