Saturday 9 May, at the studio The Control Room in Naples, the workshop on FINALE 2014, the historic and authoritative music notation program of the American MakeMusic, was held.
To act as patron of the seminar, on behalf of the national distributor midi music, there was Beppe Bornaghi, national demonstrator of the software in question. Almost thirty professionals in the sector, from the simple user who uses FINALE for his arrangements, to teachers of the regional Conservatories, or teachers of musical word processing, responded to the invitation sent by our Antonio Campeglia, to try to steal some secrets from those who have actually structured their professional activity on FINALE. Beppe Bornaghi he is already the author on this site of several tutorials on FINALE software, but meeting him in person and exchanging opinions, suggestions and strategies for using such software was very exciting and instructive. This is because Bornaghi did not place himself, as often happens, on a chair to teach standardized lessons following the dictates imposed by the company, but tried to act as a colleague who, for the benefit of over twenty years of experience on Finale, has able to circumscribe the operational functions according to the needs of the present public.
Even for those who, like me, use Sibelius for the same purpose, I cannot fail to note in Beppe an ability to describe various functions that have left the flea in his ear, as they would greatly simplify the writing of modern scores. For those who have not been there, and to ensure that a meeting of a few hours is not left isolated, Beppe was asked to repeat this experience already during this year.
