The Unisonofx represent by now a consolidated reality in the House panorama with 10 years of active work and about 20 musical productions in collaboration with the various labels of the sector. More than a band, we could define Unisonofx as an electronic music project. They were born in the summer of 2000 from the artistic encounter between Alessandro Salma (producer, Dj, arrangement and programming) and Salvatore Aversano (multi-instrumentalist and sound engineer). From the beginning, the intent of the two was to combine musical experiences to create a particular sound or "fusion".
In fact, the members of the group come from very different musical contexts. At the end of 2002, Dj Carmine Arena joins the duo on a permanent basis and with his arrangements brings the project closer to disco-house realities. The trio has therefore collaborated from time to time, according to the needs of the songs, different artists, thus giving birth over the years various musical projects. A constant always present in their songs, built on purely house sounds, is the fusion of electronic influences with sounds made by real instruments that give originality to the sound differentiating it from the exclusively DJ oriented House. Make me love again is a vinyl record, as in the most classic house tradition. It comes from an extended and equal collaboration of Unisonofx with Mr.Few (musician arranger) and Rose Marriot singer. The vinyl is composed of four tracks which, as always happens in this genre of music, represent the different versions of the same idea.
-Make Me Love Again Original - Track of about 5, 27 minutes that most of all comes close to the formula "song", where the melody is fully developed and the music is in support of the voice of Rose Marriot. From the very first bars you feel that the piece is very lively and with a nice sustained rhythm. The main sounds are a beautiful rhythm guitar definitely a Fender Stratocaster, the electric bass I think is a Fender jazz bass and Piano Rhodes with a clear synthetic matrix, everything is rigorously played. Well structured intertwining of the 3 main sounds with synths, effects and loops in the construction of the song. The song is very reminiscent of the dance sounds of the 80s with slightly fucion references as in the case of the Fender piano.
-Make Me Love Again Classic - track of about 6,20 minutes that develops with sounds and arrangements of classic house style. The greater the use of frequency filters and the electric piano with its chords plays a fundamental role in the harmonic-rhythmic support. The sounds take on a more essential and intimate aspect and the voice and the music share the available space more evenly with a short but intense electric piano phrasing followed by a good keyboard riff.
-Make Me Love Again Mix Club- Track of about 6 minutes that perfectly reflects the title or is presented in club style with a dry and dry case, the harmonic-rhythmic plan is replaced by the keyboards and the guitars are expertly filtered. The bass is also cut and lopped in style. Certainly more track club track. Less space for individual tools and more for teamwork.
Make Me Love Again Club Instrumental- About 6 minutes track. Represents the instrumental version of the club. The recording deliberately feels a bit retro with sounds that tend more towards the warm analog sound. Sometimes there is some saturation too much but the same together with the vinyl support help to give even more "warmth" to listening. Well-built arrangements, well-balanced sounds. Excellent recovery of the voice that results in all the songs always pleasant and well balanced with respect to the whole mix.
