Arturia AstroLab: A universe of sounds at your fingertips

Umberto Sorbo

While waiting to be able to test Arturia's new project, Astrolab, I have collected the main information by consulting the official website and the videos available online.

AstroLab is Arturia's new keyboard, designed for musicians and producers who want greater creative freedom. With its advanced virtual synthesis, innovative ecosystem and essential controls, AstroLab lets you focus on performance without compromise.

Over 1300 sounds

A constellation of essential sounds, iconic synths and modern textures in a performing keyboard. AstroLab offers a library of over 1300 evocative presets, including:

  • The realism of the hammer action of the Plan V;
  • The rich, warm keys of the Stage 73;
  • The modern and shocking synthesis of Pigments.
  • AstroLab can use all studio sounds but without a computer. You can edit a sound extensively in Analog Lab, use it for production in your DAW, drag it into your AstroLab library via Analog Lab, assign custom effects, and get all the sounds and settings you need while performing.

From the studio to the stage, without problems

You can manage sounds remotely with the mobile app and integrate AstroLab into your DAW. Drag-and-drop playlist creation is provided to organize sounds efficiently.

AstroLab, the era of performance keyboards

You can take your performance sounds beyond samples, your stage setup beyond complications, and your studio creations beyond the confines of your DAW. The versatility of virtual synthesis, the playability of piano, a performance setup without complexity – AstroLab puts it all in one place for the first time, so you can go beyond the limits of live playing to push the limits of musical creativity.
